For me discord keeps getting a grey screen while it is running. This fix does not help. It runs fine for a while and then goes grey. When I minimize discord and reopen it, it works normally for a time and then goes grey again. Anyone know a fix for this?

Does the cache affect chat history in any way? Been getting this issue myself recently where the screen would randomly go grey and have to minimise it a few times to get it working again and want to try this but dunno if it will affect chat history

Thanks for the video! I'm having a problem where the darkest parts of my videos get blocky pixelation issues. Gonna try rendering at that 15 bitrate to see if that helps. Also if anyone is reading IG and TT use 30fps so it's good to create and work in a 30fps timeline, not 24fps

I'd argue these are all quite generic camera moves.

So is this a Windows, Discord or Nvidia thing? Also deleting the appdata cache does not fix it, it comes back eventually. Only started happening in 2024, been using discord for 5+ years

Sadly this is not working for me. Even after re-installing Discord this problem still occurs. Anyone has any other solutions maybe? This is slowly but surely getting on my nerves. It happens after starting to stream a game for someone

It's a nuke solution, you have to redo your settings and everything again as well... And if it keeps coming back like it does for me, it gets really annoying really quick. Need to find out the actual cause and a better fix.

Hope this works. i have a similar issue where discord opens perfectly fine and works for a while and then i randomly get the grey screen like in the video. When i minimise discord and open it back up it works again

Another Solution is go into Discord settings -> Advanced -> Turn off Hardware Acceleration

Seriously, you're not answering those questions people are asking you. The issue with black bars in your videos clearly comes from your habit smiling when you edit your videos Kellan. Now unless you learn to keep your eyes open when you smile. they will just have to live with them black bars. Because clearly, you not smiling and editing is not an option.

tried this three times and still get random blank screens, and discord is already loaded it still goes blank out of nowhere while i do anything, even while typing messages on it

For anyone who has an error that says something along the lines as "You can't delete discord because it is still opened" just go to your task manager and end every discord task that is happening in the background. Then you should be able to delete discord file now.
